Prestige LLC is now in it’s 20th year manufacturing CarpetSaver, serving people nearby and around the world. We are located in Annapolis, the state Capital of Maryland.
CarpetSaver was created in 1985 by Dr. Leon Perahia of New Jersey, with the help of a close friend in the clothing manufacturing business. He wanted to protect his floors during a renovation and went to his friend with a challenge; come up with a lightweight runner that was easy to walk on, non skid, and attractive. It seemed to Perahia that the stiff, bulky products on the market had no appeal and something much better had to be possible. With some creativity, his friend suggested the unique combination of cotton blend terry cloth and open cell foam.
CarpetSaver was born. As soon as Perahia placed it on his linoleum floor and took a walk on it, he knew he had something people might like. Then he tried it on carpeted stairs and was sure it was a winner.
After a frustrating few years of attempting to go to market, a Premiere National Catalog tested it and chose to offer it to their valued customers. It was off and running in 1990 and is now seen in many catalogs catering to a variety of clients. Movers, Contractors, Homeowners, Boaters, RVers, Pet Owners etc…. It is sold via our website, to destinations worldwide.
We pride ourselves on strict quality control and excellent customer service. We continually seek and present new uses while maintaining a large inventory for prompt shipment.
